Pikey’s peak trip begins after your arrival in Kathmandu Nepal. Then, we shall indulge in City sightseeing in the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Nepal. Such as the Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After visiting these sites and completing all the necessary trekking permits.

We heading to Shivalaya by Driving. We trek through the Deurali village and observe amazing views of the snowcapped Mountain Gaurishankar Himal (7134m). En route, we Hike along the Likhu Khola to reach the small village of Goli.  The trek through the old monasteries and lush greenery, and finally we arrive at Ngawal.

Most of the Himalayan people follow Buddhism and will gladly teach you the myths about it. Now, we heading to the summit of Pikey Peak (4068m). From the peak, relish the sight of Himalayan like Gaurishankar (7134m), Lhotse (8414m), and Mt. Everest (8848 m). Now, we descend and visit the Buddhist monastery.

After visiting the yak factory and monastery, we hike down to Patale via the Phokte Danda. Finally, we made to pikey peak trek back to Kathmandu. Itinerary

We will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to a hotel. Today, you can explore the beautiful streets of Thamel and nearby areas. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Today after breakfast, we will go sightseeing in Bhaktapur and Patan. We will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Here, you will be able to witness the historical monuments, unique temples, and Newari culture. These durbar squares are mostly famous for their unique architectural designs. In Bhaktapur, you can also try a special delicious yogurt “Juju Dhau”. After sightseeing, there is a pre-trip meeting in the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Today, we will drive to Shivalaya through Jiri. The road is a little scary and bumpy as it mostly passes through high cliffs with no guard rails and the roads are rocky with numerous twists and turns. We shall take a quick break in Jiri for lunch. Later, we cross numerous hills, rivers, and beautiful villages to reach Shivalaya, a small village located in the banks of the Khimti Khola. Overnight in Shivalaya.

After early morning breakfast, we will begin our trek to Bhandar. The trail ascends steeply to Kharsubaas and then to Deurali village which is a beautiful Sherpa settlement. The village consists of many Buddhist stupas, Mani walls and it offers a stunning view of the Gaurishankar Himal (7134m). From here, the trail descends till Bhandar. The trail mostly passes through terraced fields and lust green forest of rhododendron and magnolia. Overnight in Bhandar.

Today, we will continue our trek from Bhandar and aim to reach Goli. The trail initially descends till Likhu Khola. After crossing the river, the trail ascends steeply to the Goli village. It is a Buddhist village which hosts a stunning panoramic view of Cho Oyu (8188m) Gaurishankar (7134m), and Lhotse (8516m). Here, we will explore this beautiful village and experience the lifestyle and culture of the local people. Overnight in Goli.

We will continue our trek through the lush green forest of rhododendron, pines, magnolia, etc. Along the way, we will pass by small Sherpa settlements, beautiful old monasteries, stupas, etc. The views of Numbur and Mahalangur ranges are magnificent along the trek. In Ngwal, we will visit some old monasteries, stupas, and learn about the unique lifestyle of the inhabiting Sherpas. Overnight in Ngwal.

Finally, we shall head to the Pikey Peak (4068m) today. We will continue our trek through the dense forests and as we climb ahead, the forest becomes thinner and finally, we will leave the forest behind as we reach near our destination. The view of the mighty Everest (8848m), along with other mountains like Gaurishankar (7134m), Lhotse (8414m), Cho Oyu (8188m), etc. seen from the Pikey Peak is incredible. Overnight in Pikey Peak.

Today, we will get up early to view the majestic sunrise over the mountain ranges. The whole day we will explore the nearby areas whilst enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the Mt. Everest (8848m) and numerous other mountains. We will also view the sunset over these beautiful mountain ranges. The Sherpa culture on display in the surrounding areas is also interesting to witness Overnight in Pikey Peak.

From Pikey, the trail descends through rocky mountainous roads to beautiful rhododendron and pine forest to the Lamachay village and then to Bhulbhule. From here, the trail descends to Jhapre, a small settlement of Sherpa and Magar. In Jhapre, we will visit an ancient Buddhist monastery called the Jhapre monastery. Later, we shall watch traditional and cultural performances. Overnight in Jhapre.

Today, we will trek to Patale which is a village that boasts the mixed settlement of Sherpa, Magar, and Tamang ethnic groups. The trail goes uphill and downhill through dense rhododendron forests and beautiful small settlements. We shall make a quick stop at the Phokte Danda. The route to Jhapre offers a great view of the Solu Okhaldhunga border. Along the way, we will also witness various animals and birds like yaks, dzo, Tahr, Danphe, etc. Overnight in Patale.

After having breakfast, we will enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, which marks the end of this incredible Pikey Peak Trek. The road back to Kathmandu is filled with beautiful green valleys, numerous small villages, rivers, etc. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, head back to your hotel. If you have spare time, you can go to souvenir hunting in Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
