Trip Overview

Upper Mustang  Trek leads you through a region of Nepal that is also called Mustang Bhot.Mustang is near by Tibet. Influenced from Tibet as well. The reason is that this area falls beyond the Himalayan range ,isolating it from the rest of the nation.

As well as Mustang has developed its own distinct cultural geographical traits. This traits making an attraction for ordinary and others.Mustang is attraction place to learn bout many thing and for super adventure . To learn to mustang is useful for geologists, research center and trekkers . Anthropologists   and Archaeologists also take a advantage by this place.

This Upper Mustang trek moves through Kaligandaki River to Lo-Manthang, the cultural capital of upper Mustang. This region is still practically a kingdom. People are in here , they respect Jigme Parbat Bista as a cultural monaural monarch although in government has withdrawn recognizance when Nepal has already declare a federal democratic Republic. The other unique cultural traits of this region is polyandry marriage system. Such as the wife of eldest male of the family serves as the wife of all the brothers.

During this Upper Mustang trek , you will find that the mystery of the place also owes a lot to its geography. Its earth has red, yellow and brown colors, dominated by mysterious caves and strange figures eroded into the sands tone that composes its land. Human remains dating back to thousands of year in the past have been excavate from the area. The area giving an insight into the early phase of human civilization, plateau of Tibet,its remains in the rain shadow_area . The Mountains are barren and treeline .

You will also see numerous monasteries going back to hundred of years, moving through high passes peaks glaciers and alpine valleys. Mountain view,landscape and mixed of culture makes good trip. yes!

 

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Day 2: Pokhara to Jomsom (flight), trek to Kagbeni (2810 m) 3 – 4 hours
Day 3: Kagbeni to Chele (3050 m) 4 – 5 hours
Day 4: Chele to Syanboche (3800 m) 5 – 6 hours
Day 5: Syanboche to Ghaymi (3520 m) 5 – 6 hours
Day 6: Ghaymi to Charang (3560 m) 5 – 6 hours
Day 7: Charang to Lo-Manthang (3810 m)
Day 8: Acclimatization
Day 9: Lo-Manthang to Dhakmar (3820 m) 6 – 7 hours
Day 10: Dhakmar to Ghiling (3570 m) 4 – 5 hours
Day 11: Ghiling to Chuksang (2980 m) 5 – 6 hours
Day 12: Chuksang to Jomsom (2730 m) 5 -6 hours
Day 13: Jomson to Pokhara (flight)
Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu

THE PRICE INCLUDES

Accommodation : Basic tea house accommodation during the trek.Deluxe accommodation for 2 nights in Kathmandu,and 2 nights in pokhara in Tourist Hotels on twin/king basis with breakfast included.
Food : Three meals a day(Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner) During trek,&Breakfast in Kathmandu & Pokhara
Transportation : Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu by tourist bus, Pokhara to Jomsom by flight via back.Airport transfer by private vehicle.
Documents : Trekking permit of Annapurna Conservation Area Project(ACAP) and Trekkers’ Information Management System(TIMS) card, Mustang special permit.
Human Resourse : A professional & experience English Speaking Guide & one porter(20/22kg) per two trekkers.All expenses(wages,accommodation,meals,transportation,insurance) of the Guide & Porters are covered.
